Where: St Ives Community Hall, St Ives Village Green, Memorial Avenue, St Ives.

What to expect

We're expecting a big crowd at St Ives Community Hall where we can spill out onto the Village Green in a Covid-safe way. Seating inside at the venue is limited to 120. If you think you need one of these seats, please come early and speak with one of our volunteers. Apologies if we can’t accommodate everyone with inside seating. 

This will be an indoor/outdoor event where we can spill out onto the Village Green in a Covid-safe way. You will be able to participate from a safe distance, as you prefer. Music and speeches will be broadcast to the outside area. 

10:00am Enjoy the music, donate (all donations over $20 come with a free campaign T-shirt), meet other supporters and settle in.

10:45am Introductions, short speeches

11:15am Campaign and supporters’ photos

11:30am The opportunity for you to talk with other supporters, and get a photo with our community independent Nicolette (so you too can post on social!). Join the TeamNic Peloton, or cheer them on.

12:00pm Official end of event

How to get there: parking is available but limited. Please consider using public transport (details below).

What to bring: family, friends, raincoat if it’s wet, folding chair if you wish to be outdoors.

Accessibility

The Hall has wheelchair access and there are accessible parking spots nearby. There will be an Auslan translator and we will have volunteers who can help people to suitable seating in the Hall, or outdoors. Because we will be using the outdoor space of the Village Green, people can choose to be close to the action, or to watch quietly from a convenient distance. 

 

COVID requirements: The event is open to adults who are fully vaccinated, and people indoors must wear a mask in compliance with NSW public health orders. Children are welcome. QR code sign in is not required for this event under current regulations.
